If you can only visit one city in Vietnam, it should be Hanoi. To visit Hanoi is to steep yourself in history, tradition, and legend in a capital that has been inhabited continuously for a millennium. Hanoi’s present architecture is mainly from the 19th and 20th centuries, and the stately French-built section of town is largely intact. Hanoi is cleaner, leafier, and quieter than other big cities in Vietnam — in a word, it’s “cooler.” There’s cooler weather, more drizzle, less traffic, less hype; the streets seem quieter, with few large billboards. There’s a cooler mentality here, too-prouder, more prudish. Hanoi is a magnet for intellectuals and artists, while Saigon seems to attract entrepreneurs and hustlers.

Visit President Ho Chi Minh’s Mausoleum and Museum, Ba Dinh Square Complex, Ho Chi Minh’s house on stilts, the One Pillar Pagoda;the important symbol for the people ofHanoi, then Buddhist Tran Quoc Pagoda on West lake (One of the oldest in Vietnam). Lunch at local restaurant
PM: Visit the Temple of Literature
Option 1 : Visit Vietnam Ethnology Museum (Tue., Thur., Sat. & Sun)
Option 2 : Visit Bat Trang pottery village then stop at Hoan Kiem Lake to see the peaceful waters and visit Ngoc Son temple.
Tour ends around at 15:30-16:00.
Notes:
On Monday and Friday morning, Ho Chi Minh Mausoleum and museum are closed. The itinerary can be changed due to weather, tide levels and operating conditions.
Special request (diet or vegetarian …) should be sent before your departure date. Bat Trang pottery village will be visited on Mon, Wed & Fri (without Ethnology Museum).
Ethnology Museum will be visited on Sun, Tue, Thu & Sat (without Bat Trang pottery village).
